Catherine de Klerk

Background

Catherine grew up in East London and has been in and around the ballet world for many years now. She started Ballet with Geraldine Cross when she was 6 all the way through to achieving her RAD Advanced 2.

 
During her first year out of school, she assisted Catherine Vermaak with teaching at the Geraldine Cross School of Ballet. She then went on to intern at Stirling Baptist Church, receiving her Bachelors in Theology. Catherine’s knowledge of ballet and experience in admin make her uniquely suited for this role.

Qualifications

RAD Level 4 Diploma in Vocational Graded Examination in Dance: Advanced 2 (Ballet)

Bachelor of Theology (with Honors)

Many years experience in administrative positions

Currently

Catherine is married to Matthew de Klerk, they have been married for 3 years and continue to pursue a life and community in East London.

Catherine believes that dance offers us a unique opportunity to worship the Lord with our whole mind, heart, and body and while she doesn't teach dance she loves that being part of CDA allows her to help dancers to experience that in their own lives through behind the scenes work.
