Background

Catherine Daniels was born and raised in East London. She trained with Sally Sieg at the Technical College before studying at Pretoria Technikon (now Tshwane University of Technology). Cath stayed in Pretoria for 15 years teaching and examining Anatomy at TUT, Hoërskool Waterkloof and The National School of the Arts. Also taught History of Dance and Contemporary at the Graduate Academy of SA for Pinto Ferreira. For 3 years, she was a full-time Children’s and Arts Pastor at Eastside Community Church. She moved back to East London in 2009 and started teaching at Christian Dance Academy.

Dance Experience

Cath has freelance danced for various choreographers including Leon Coetzer, Pinto Ferreira, Ignatius van Heerden, Kelsey Middleton, Jeannette Ziady and Cecil de Jongh. Various festivals including Grahamstown Arts Festival, KKNK, Hadeda Festival, Kalfie Fees, Dance Umbrella and Arts Alive. Also danced for various corporate events including Vodacome, Debis & Revlon. Danced with DaySpring Dance since moving to East London.
